We believe that God has spoken, and that his word is binding. The great news is that God has spoken a word of redemption and grace in Jesus Christ – it is a message that God has done what is necessary for our salvation and made us participants in His Kingdom. On the cross, Jesus stood in the place of sinners and was condemned instead of us. Because Jesus endured God’s wrath in our place, we receive eternal life and adoption as God’s children, and become God’s people. All who respond to Jesus in repentance and faith receive this blessing and can have full assurance of the hope of God’s promise. This gospel message is truly and sufficiently laid out in the Bible. It has also been expressed in numerous confessions throughout the history of the church. Below are some of the historic expressions of Christianity that we affirm as being summaries of biblical truth.
